Story

In Insights - Maniac Vortex, you play as Thomas, a young journalist who lives in the small town of Fuchsberg. When he receives an assignment to write an article about the local psychiatric hospital, he expects a simple story — a glimpse behind the walls of a mysterious institution that most townspeople prefer to ignore. But once inside, Thomas realizes that something is terribly wrong.

The deeper he explores the asylum, the more he uncovers disturbing secrets buried within its history. Hidden experiments, strange patient records, and forbidden areas reveal a truth that was never meant to be found. Each discovery draws him further into a web of manipulation and control that stretches far beyond the hospital’s walls. Reality begins to fracture as he questions who is truly in charge — the doctors, the patients, or something much darker that lurks within the institution itself.
